The House resolved this after due consideration of the letter forwarded to the House of Assembly by his Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel in line with Section 271(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended. Recalled that His Lordship Justice Ekaete Obot  took Oaths of Office and Allegiance, as the acting State Chief Judge by Governor Udom Emmanuel following the retirement of Justice Godwin Abraham on Wednesday, 30th June 2021.
