… urges public officials to support the youths The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Aniekan Bassey, has been nominated as Speaker of the Year, South South Region, by Elite Exclusive Magazine. Presenting the nomination certificate yesterday June 8, 2021 in Uyo, the Publisher of Elite Exclusive Magazine, Akwa Ibom-born Mbuotidem Ubom, said the Speaker was nominated after a keen contest and votes across Nigeria. He noted that the Speaker was chosen because of his support for youths and small businesses through the RHAB-YESS Programme. Reacting to the nomination, Aniekan Bassey, who doubles as the Chairman South-South Speaker’s Forum and National Vice Chairman Conference of Nigerian Speakers, thanked Elite Magazine for the nomination stating that it has been his life ambition to lend a helping hand to those struggling to make it in life.
