   … urges public officials to support the youths   The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Aniekan Bassey, has been nominated as Speaker of the Year, South South Region, by Elite Exclusive Magazine.  Presenting the nomination certificate yesterday June 8, 2021 in Uyo, the Publisher of Elite Exclusive Magazine, Akwa Ibom-born Mbuotidem Ubom, said the Speaker was nominated after a keen contest and votes across Nigeria.  Williams Akpabio - (Information Unit) AKHA, Uyo The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) on Tuesday shut down all State House of Assembly in the federation over the non-implementation of financial autonomy for State Legislatures and Judiciary The indifinite Strike action comes after the expiration of all ultimatums issued to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Association.  The union locked the entrance and stationed at the entrance of the all States Assemblies, held banners calling on lawmakers and the federal government to ensure that financial autonomy is implemented before there will be legislation in the country.
