Udeme Otong, member representing Abak State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly today host State Council of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) at the Assembly conference hall. In his remark, the former State Chairmam of NANNM and lawmaker,  Hon. Ottong on behalf of the Hon. Speaker Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey welcome the State Executive Council of his union to the assembly. He re​it​er​at​ed his readiness to partner with the union to provide a good health delivery system to the people of the state and to push the union forward. Aniefiok Dennis today, met with the Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong to harness ways to review the official website and portal of the state government.  Presenting the leadership organigram of the state legislature to the commissioner, the Etinan Lawmaker commended the Info Ministry for their synergy and support to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, noting the need for frequent and timely review of the state government's website/portal to reflect the present leadership status of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.  Barr. The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State  House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aniekan Bassey on Monday led members of the 7th Assembly to the State Secretariat of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atan Offot, Uyo on a condolence visit to the leadership of the Party over the demise of the party Chairman, late Obong Udo Ekpenyong. In his speech, the Speaker described the late party Chairman as a commmitted servant leader whose loyalty to the party remains unquestionable till his death. He described the late party Chairman as a  man known for his tenacity, uprightness and discipline who will always fight for the interest of the downtrodden. Speaker Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the Clerk Mrs Mandu Umoren represented by the Deputy Clerk on Thursday played host to the South South leadership of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Comrade Louis Okeleke, the South South Zonal Vice President and Comrade Siso the National Ex-Officer of PASAN during a routine tour to Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly alongside  the entire State Exco of the apex Union of the House of Assembly, paid courtesy to the speaker of the Assembly.  The Speaker in his usual way as the working Speaker regardless of protocols had audience with the labour leaders and welcomed them to the Assembly.
