Abasiama Etokakpan as the substantive Vice Chairman of Oruk Anam Local Government Council.  This follows the report of the House Committee on local government and Chieftaincy Affairs on an act of complete illegality and mess on democratic tenets represented to the house on the purported impeachment of Hon Abasiama Etokakpan from office. Akwa Ibom State  House of Assembly has ratified a report of the Auditor General on the arrears of two years of  accounts of the 31 Local Government Councils in the state. The audited accounts which were from January - December, 2015 and January- December, 2016 were considered by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly during its plenary, Tuesday. The report was submitted by the House Committee on Public Accounts chaired by Hon. Charity Ido of Ukanafun State Constituency. The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has ratified the Covid 19 budget report of the State Government for last quarter ending December 2020 as presented by the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Hon Charity Ido, member representing Ukanafun State Constituency. The House which dissolved into a Committee of the Whole to discuss the Covid 19 Report, came out with the following recommendations: That the State Government should seek support from the Federal Government and other relevant agencies to make it a matter of priority to support Covid 19 budgets since it is a global phenomenon.
