ANIEFIOK DENNIS MEETS INI EMEMOBONG, URGES REVIEW OF GOVT's WEBSITE, PRESENTS ASSEMBLY REPORT

The Chairman, Information Committee of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Member Representing Etinan State Constituency, Barr. Aniefiok Dennis today, met with the Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong to harness ways to review the official website and portal of the state government. 



Presenting the leadership organigram of the state legislature to the commissioner, the Etinan Lawmaker commended the Info Ministry for their synergy and support to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, noting the need for frequent and timely review of the state government's website/portal to reflect the present leadership status of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. 


Barr. Aniefiok Dennis who also serves as the Deputy Leader of the House, described as inappropriate, the flotage in the state government's website the leadership of the 6th, instead of the 7th Assembly in the current leadership regime of the House of Assembly. He presented 'Assembly Update' Magazine - a publication of the Information Committee of the 7th Assembly,  to the Info Commissioner to mark the 2nd anniversary celebrations of the 7th Assembly. 


Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong acknowledged Barr. Aniefiok Dennis and the exploits of the 7th Assembly within two years, describing as an omission, the nonrenewal  of the website to incorporate the current leadership of the State Assembly and promised to liaise with the Ministry of Science & Technology to effect as soon as possible, necessary changes in the portal to portray the current leadership reality of the state government. 


The State Info boss in return presented  several publications of his ministry and that of the state government to the Lawmaker and promised to provide spaces in subsequent edition of the state government's publications to showcase the activities of the 7th Assembly.
