Williams Akpabio - (Aide) AKHA, Uyo The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is the State legislature of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. It is located at Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo the State Capital. There have been seven different House of Assemblies, the very first Assembly was inaugurated on the 20th January, 1992 with 48 Honourable Members, 33 National Republican Conversation (NRC) and 15 Social Democratic Party (SDP) Members under the leadership of three (3) Speaker Hon. (Chief) Jimmy Jimmy Ntuen, Hon. (Barr.) Nse Ben Ekanem and Hon. Barr. Henry Afang. The 7th Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly inaugurated on the 10th June, 2019 currently has 25 members under the People's Democratic Party which is the current ruling party in the State and a member of the All progressive Congress under the Speakership of Rt Hon.
