A'IBOM SPEAKER CELEBRATES 2022 ARMED FORCES DAY

The National Vice Chairman Conference of Nigerian Speakers and Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan BASSEY on Saturday 15th January, 2022, joined the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and his Deputy, Mr Moses Ekpo to mark 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration. The event which held at Cenataph, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, featured Laying of Remembrance Wreaths in honour of our fallen heroes who died on the course of defending our father's land.  Also in attendance were members of the Executive council, state and national legislators, traditional rulers and top security officials. Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in its plenary Tuesday passed Akwa Ibom State Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2020 into Law.  This follows the adoption of Report of the committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Right and Public Petition  as presented by its Chairman Hon. Barr. Victor Ekwere, member representing Mkpat Enin State Constituency at the floor of the House.
